This one-day conference at the historic Fairmont Sonoma Mission Inn & Spa is part of a
growing effort to develop a common language and knowledge base between medical and
health care practitioners. This conference provides education and resources for those interested
in complementary,
alternative, integrative medicine and healthy living practices.
The aging of the population and an increasing incidence of chronic disease, have fueled a
rapid proliferation of integrative healthcare therapies and natural supplements, many of
which are utilized by consumers without advising their health care provider. Through
lecture, demonstration, discussion and
case studies, faculty will present evidence-based and practice-based information that
has the greatest potential for positively affecting length and quality of life. Afternoon health
exhibits will demonstrate a variety of integrative therapies, diagnostic screenings and
educational nutraceutical and cosmeceutical displays.
