Mama's Calliope

Mama's Calliope is a Coin operated washing machine powered music box. The "score" is composed in plastic pegs which are insterted into the holes of the washing machine drum. As the drumb turns the pegs trigger a bank of switches that energise the electro magnets which opperate the percussion instruments.  Percussion instruments are made up from an old pot "bell", a metal bucket "snare", bongo "tom" drum, oil "kick" drum and a metal plate 'n spoon for a ride cymbal. In traditional keeping with laundrymatt and Band-in-a-box style this machine is coin opperated.
